When we spoke to Georgia’s Mike Lowry back in June he mentioned how he was particularly excited for people to hear the track ” Invisible Scars” from his new album ” Holding It Together” which is due for release later this year
Good news is that the song in question will be released as his new single next Friday, 16th October, and with its accompanying lyric video available now you can see what he means when he describes the song as diving deeper emotionally than a lot of his writes. It definitely deals with some difficult subjects but remains musically upbeat thanks to a fun danceable groove with thick harmonies and infectious hooks, a bit of a departure from his usual style.
Incidentally, Mike not only produced the track and provides vocals but also plays guitar, banjo and keys.
Talking further about the song and its inspiration, Mike says “Heartbreak, trauma, broken promises, childhood abuse; all these can leave a scar on your psyche. This can lead to you putting up walls and constantly being on guard to protect yourself from being hurt any further. The problem with these scars is they are invisible and the public can’t see the past you’ve been dealing with ” .
