C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Filmore

(Tyler) Filmore like myself is a proud exhibitor of a phenomenon that people are way more jealous of that they make out to be which is commonly referred to as a ‘man bun’. He is certainly no stranger to the United Kingdom or playing to a festival audience over here as he has become a favourite since he appeared at Buckle & Boots in Stockport back in 2018 where since then fans have followed his career closely as he has continued to release new music on a regular basis including most recent single ‘Blue Skies’ which came out February 28th and you can listen to HERE. The creative and innovative artist from Wildwood, MO has made a substantial amount of music available since 2016 and has amassed in excess of 105 million streams!

He is an artist that definitely is embracing of the genre box not being set in stone and an example of the creativity that is currently flowing in Nashville. He is definitely an innovator  that brings in a lot of different influences to create a unique and dynamic sound that is very relevant and contemporary whilst still retaining the core as a country musician. People may lean towards artists like Sam Hunt or Jordan Davis as a starting point if you are unfamiliar with his music which you can definitely see with the way Filmore’s sound is fresh and brings a lot more urban flavours as you can definitely hear R&B, soul, blues, pop and rock along with what is still very evidently a more rootsy base.

Following Country to Country he is remaining in the UK a little longer for a series of dates on the road with Twinnie to continue what has been a really busy spell for the Missouri native having recently finished his own ‘Slower’ headlining tour along with being out on the road with the amazing Lauren Alaina for her ‘That Girl Was Me’ Tour at the start of this year in addition to joining Walker Hayes for his ‘Dream On It Tour’ last year where 2019 also brought about his first appearance at The Grand Ole Opry. Filmore is an innovator with what he creates with his musical style and has already become a firm favourite amongst UK fans which his C2C appearance can only enhance this further!

Filmore returns to Europe in March for C2C Country to Country where he will appear in London on the BBC Radio 2 Stage in the Indigo, at the Country Hits Radio Sessions at The Loft, the Country Music Week Hub in All Bar One and the Town Square Stage over the weekend in addition to performing at the festival in Berlin. Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
