C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Niko Moon

One of the most genuine and creative artists in country music right now that is making serious waves as an emerging artist and a hit songwriter, Niko Moon is set to make his first solo appearance in the UK at C2C Country to Country. Originally from Texas, Moon moved to Douuglasville in Georgia where he spent his teens 30 miles west of the hip-hop capital of the United States: Atlanta whilst being a similar distance to Alan Jackson’s hometown of Newman so his sound is dynamic and brings elements of both of these genres to create in instantly gratifying and irresistible sound which he talks as: “The way I think of it is bass and drums is Atlanta, and everything above it is Douglasville.” The UK audience first may have come across Niko Moon back in 2017 when he played the first live gig for Sir Rosevelt with Ben Simonetti and a very familiar name to the C2C audience who he initially met whilst playing gigs in Atalanta called Zac Brown! The diversity in Moon’s style as a songwriter and artist unites the elements of country, EDM, pop and hip-hop which the Think Country team were in awe of at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville last month and will be one of the most talked about artists at C2C!

In addition to writing no less than 5 number one Zac Brown Band songs including ‘Homegrown’, ‘Beautiful Drug’ and ‘Keep Me In Mind’ Moon is highly anticipated as a genre defying artist full of creativity in his own right that has been named by CMT as one of their artists to watch for 2020. Debut Single ‘Good Time’ is approaching 25 million streams and serves as the title track to his new EP released in February which Moon co-produced and he co-wrote each of the 5 songs, which you can listen to HERE.

The Sony Nashville artist has already been on the road with Eli Young Band, Ryan Hurd and Filmore with 2020 already looking a busy year ahead as following his C2C debut in the UK as he will be taking his progressive sound of slick edgy melodies and hook filled melodies that create of country infused with elements of hip-hop all over the world! He not only will make his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in April along with confirmed appearances at major US festivals like Stagecoach in California, Trailblazer in upstate New York, Key West in Florida along with heading to Cavendish Beach in Canada and CMC Rocks in Queensland, Australia where he also joins the CMA Introducing Nashville tour which also includes stops in Japan and New Zealand.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
