C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Everette

Brent Rupard and Anthony Olympia are a duo from Bullitt County in Kentucky. They take their name ‘Everette’ from George Clooney’s character in the Coen Brother’s iconic ‘Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?’ and collectively they create a fun and gritty modern take on the blues which is laden with feel good indie vibes to generate a really fresh and creative take on country music. This will be their first time playing in the United Kingdom when they arrive for Country to Country where they are sure to be embraced with open arms as their musical style and creativity will surely be a favourite for the British audience.

Their debut EP ‘Slow Roll’ was released in June 2018 through BBR’s imprint Broken Bow Records and you can listen to the 5 track EP filled with slick high energy melodies and super tight harmonies about life’s real ups and downs HERE. Their sound is very different and vastly unique in how they integrate elements together to create a real and relatable brand of modern country music. Prior to their European festival debut at C2C Country to Country they have began to become regulars at a number of the premier country festivals in the US including Faster Horses, Hometown Rising, Tortuga and CMA Fest and I am sure country fans in London will understand why they are becoming so in demand and being selected for CMA’s emerging talent programme.

Everette are members of the current CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship Class which is now in it’s second year (following last years first inception featuring Travis Denning, Kassi Ashton and Jameson Rodgers) and is a year long mentoring programme involving building connections with industry professionals and participating in events organised by the CMA including Country to Country where they join the other 2 class members Angie K and Kylie Morgan for a special session at the festival on the Sunday morning in London in addition to performances of their own across the weekend.

Everette head to Europe for C2C Country to Country where they will appear in London joining Angie K and Kylie Morgan for the CMA Kixstart in Conversation on Sunday March 15th and over the weekend at the Country Hits Radio Sessions at The Loft, the Town Square Stage and the Big Entrance Stage. Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
