C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Kylie Morgan

She is one of the most exciting young artists in Nashville right now with a truly unique and unforgettable voice so following opening up shows for the likes of Maren Morris, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge and Little Big Town we are truly thrilled to welcome Kylie Morgan to the UK for the first time at Country to Country. She left Oklahoma for Nashville at 18 where she was quickly recognised for her incredible talent as a songwriter by Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne who she has joined on the roster of songwriters at SMACKSongs and now has a record deal with EMI Records Nashville.

Named by CMT in this years Next Women of Country intake which also includes Madison Kozak, Avenue Beat, Walker County, Tiera, Hailey Whitters, Abbey Cone, Sycamore and Renee Blair along with fellow C2C debutantes Caylee Hammack and Gabby Barrett just continues to show the level of excitement about this highly talented songwriter with the sort of voice that leaves an instant impression that you are desperate to hear more from. Kylie’s major label debut ‘Boys Girl’ which she wrote alongside Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman was released in June last year which is both a great introduction to her as an artist and a person with the catchy upbeat song about not wanting to conform to stereotypes. Her follow up single ‘Break Things’ was released February 28th which you can listen to HERE is another catchy number which unveils more about Kylie and explores everything that goes into making us who we are, whilst unleashing that mesmerising voice even further. Both tracks wet the appetite beautifully for an expected debut album which she has been working on with producers Shane McAnally and Ben Johnson.

The entire team at Think Country have been completely blown away by this amazingly talented lady who I first came across when Walker Hayes mentioned her in conversation and gave such high praise for whilst the Nashville members of the team regarded her as one of the stand out performers during last months Country Radio Seminar so we really do believe there is something incredibly magical about her and know she will be one of the highlights for UK fans at C2C!

Kylie is a member of the current CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship Class which is now in it’s second year (following last years first inception featuring Travis Denning, Kassi Ashton and Jameson Rodgers) and is a year long mentoring programme involving building connections with industry professionals and participating in events organised by the CMA including Country to Country where she joins the other 2 class members Angie K and Everette for a special session at the festival on the Sunday morning in London in addition to performances of her own across the weekend.

Kylie Morgan heads to Europe for C2C Country to Country where she will appear in London joining Angie K and Everette for the CMA Kixstart in Conversation on Sunday March 15th and over the weekend at the Country Hits Radio Sessions at The Loft, the Town Square Stage, Country Music Week Hub in All Bar One and The Bluebird Cafe in the O2 Blueroom (separate ticket required). Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
