C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Mitchell Tenpenny

Some may refer to him as a unicorn in that Mitchell Tenpenny is one of the very rare artists in music city that were actually born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee who released his first album in 2015 but it was off the back of his 2018 major label debut ‘Telling All My Secrets” along with the platinum certified number one lead single “Drunk Me” that quickly lead to him being seen as on of the genres fastest rising stars.

With his charismatic style, unforgettable voice and highly creative slant on modern country music it is no surprise to see his army of fans continuing to continually grow following playing shows with the likes of Maren Morris, Old Dominion and Dustin Lynch but it will be a highly anticipated UK debut at C2C Country to Country where fans on this side of the Atlantic will get their first chance to see one of the most talked about up and coming artists in music city. Following on from the trip to the UK, Tenpenny heads to Queensland to CMC Rocks festival in addition to further dates across Australia along with shows in New Zealand and Japan before joining Jason Aldean on his ‘We Back Tour’ later in the summer.

On Friday night in London he is tasked with keeping the party going at the official Afterparty following Eric Church’s headline set in the main arena, where we can be sure that tracks like ‘Alcohol You Later’ will go down a storm. His current single ‘Anything She Says’ featuring Australian duo Seaforth who are currently joining him on his current headline tour and are also making their first appearance at this years festival is available to listen to or download HERE. Whilst in the run up to the festival his mammoth hit ‘Drunk Me’ has been officially launched as a UK release and began impacting on March 20th so the engaging UK fans should be well prepared for who has been one of this years most anticipated names on the festival lineup.

Mitchell Tenpenny heads to the UK in March for C2C Country to Country where he will appear London on Friday 13th March on the Spotlight Stage inside the Main Arena and is performing at the Official Aftershow party later that evening (which is a separate ticket and you can find more information HERE) in addition to performing across the weekend in London on the BBC Radio 2 Stage in the Indigo and at the Country Hits Radio Sessions taking place at The Loft. Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
