C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Gabby Barrett

Seen as one of the rising stars and powerhouse voices in country music who regarded by the US contingent of Think Country as one of their stand out performers at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville last week, Gabby Barrett is set to make her UK debut at this years C2C Country to Country. Named as a member of CMT’s Next Women of Country Class for 2020 along with the likes of Avenue Beat, Madison Kozak, Kylie Morgan and Caylee Hammack there are a lot of people that are very excited about the young singer from Munhall, just on the outskirts of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Not just from when she first rose to prominence, finishing third on American Idol in 2018 but she is a female artist that evidently fans and executives alike are keen to support and her debut single continues to ascend to great heights.

‘I Hope’ was originally released in July last year is currently climbing up the charts and this week sits at number 6 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs whilst also is inside the top 50 on the all genre Billboard Hot 100 and has reached the number 1 spot on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart. Following on from that the latest track ‘Hall of Fame’ was released in early January, that you can listen to HERE which along with ‘The Good Ones’ and ‘I Hope’ sets the tone for what we can expect from her highly anticipated, upcoming debut album which she has been working on with C2C alumni Ross Copperman who produced her current smash hit.

Having already shared the stage the likes of Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood to name just a few, she later this year will join Brad Paisley on his “World Tour 2020” as part of what promises to be a very exciting year ahead for her that starts with her maiden voyage across the pond where her charm, charisma and powerhouse vocals are sure to be a big hit at this years festival.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
