C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Matt Lang

Set to make his debut at this years Country to Country Festival on his first trip to Europe is rising Canadian star Matt Lang. His self titled album was recorded in Nashville back in Spring 2018 which was produced by fellow Canadian and Emerson Drive guitarist Danick Dupelle and contains prolific lead single ‘Love Me Some You’ which has streams in excess of two million. The most impressive thing about the release is that it was Lang’s first recording in English, which being from Maniwaki, a few hours north of Montreal in Quebec is a language that the French speaker has only begun to pick up in recent years.

As he works on releasing his second record in English, where we have already heard lead single ‘Water Down The Whiskey’ 2020 looks set to be an exciting year beginning with his first trip to Europe to play Country to Country, which also features Tebey who is already a big UK favourite and the founder of Jayward Artist Group which is the label that Lang has been signed to and we are sure that Matt Lang will follow in the footsteps of other rising Canadian artists like Tenille Townes, Lindsay Ell, Tim Hicks, Tenille Arts and Tebey himself who have quickly captivated the UK audience and become a big hit with fans over here.

Matt Lang heads to Europe in March for C2C Country to Country where he will appear in London on the Big Entrance Stage, Icon Stage and the Garden Stage over the weekend in addition to performing at the festival in Berlin. Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
