C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Austin Jenckes

There are some artists that have an incredible ability as a songwriter and vocalist to mesmerise audiences with their storytelling, relatabilty, purity and charisma in a way that instantly draws you in like Austin Jenckes. The first time we came across this magical songwriter from Duvall, just outside of Seattle in Washington state was during CMA Fest in 2018 where we saw him on the Nashville Acoustic Corner Stage inside The Bridgestone Arena and we were instantly hooked. Many UK fans may also have be fortunate to catch one of the standout performances of last years The Long Festival where he delivered a beautiful acoustic set sat in a rocking chair on The Front Porch Stage that absolutely blew the entire audience away.

A former contestant on The Voice back in 2013 who has already played The Grand Ole Opry and joined the likes of Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Cadillac Three makes a welcome return to the UK for his first appearance at Country to Country. We expect him to once again to be one of the most talked about artists at a UK festival where he plays an array of stages including The Bluebird Cafe alongside Reverie Lane and Tony Arata where we hope to be able to hear some new music.

His acclaimed debut album ‘If You Grew up Like I Did’ was released in May last year was one of the finest release in 2019 and has well in excess of fifteen million streams which you can listen to HERE. Jenckes presents such raw honesty in his songwriting and delivers it in such a divine way with his beautiful voice to captivate an audience whilst on stage that is a perfect fit for the engaging and respectful UK fans based on how real his stories are and how he is not afraid to talk about his own vulnerabilities.

Austin Jenckes returns to Europe to play C2C Country to Country where he will appear in London at the Country Hits Radio Sessions at The Loft, on the Garden Stage, at the Country Music Week Hub in All Bar One and The Bluebird Cafe in the O2 Blueroom (separate ticket required) over the weekend in addition to performing at the festival in Berlin and Amsterdam. Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
