Staywild Cowgirl shares the first installment of our new House and Lifestyle feature

Well this is exciting, my ever blog and I’m excited to share it as a feature with Think Country!

My name is Holly although some of you may know be better as staywild_cowgirl over on Instagram. I’m buzzing to have been asked to continue sharing my ideas on this blog where I will be focusing on home and lifestyle.

A little bit about me. I was introduced to country music and horses from a young age by my Grandad. I was raised on Dolly but as a teenager I would attend line dancing lessons in secret. It wasn’t very cool to like country back then, but I did. Fast-forward to my 30’s and I’m country through and through…and damn proud to be.

I recently purchased my first house and have all these ideas on how I want it to look. But I found it a real challenge to find anything western style in the UK. I’ve become experienced at finding suppliers, brands and small business with great country style. In this blog I will share my recent finds, shout out small businesses and share any progress I make on my home too. So lets begin…

Hot right now

For me, cow print is EVERYTHING. I could easily cover the whole house in it. Luckily it happens to also be trending in a lot of mainstream brands right now. As tempting as it was to purchase ALL of these, I’ve gone for just a couple and plan to mix it up with other patterns and textures in my living room.

Sharing the love

Supporting small businesses is something I am really passionate about and I’ll be sharing a new business with you all in each blog.

I’m really proud to start off by sharing one of my all-time favourites. Particularly special to me as the owner is a dear friend of mine. Kirsty-leigh is the magic behind Cash’s attic. Every item is handmade with love and can be made completely bespoke to you.

I have been fortunate to have a few items made for me now. I plan to eventually have my entire home filled with products from https://www.instagram.com/cashsattic/.

Here are a couple of the beautiful items that I have had custom made so far.

As a huge Miranda Lambert I wanted to add a song lyric in my home somewhere. This is PERFECT and lives in my master bathroom.

Taken from inspiration on Pinterst, Cash’s attic helped recreate this “I will love you till the cows come home” print and I love how rustic it looks.

Our home so far

We moved into out home at the end of last year. It’s a new build and we are currently in the period of waiting for it to settle before we can start to paint. The plain white walls are killing me and eventually the plan will be to add a lot more colour. In the meantime, I turned to CL Illustratates to add a little cowgirl energy to my dressing room. The prints from here are gorgeous and another business where you can request bespoke products too. I finished it off with some macrame bunting for a boho feel.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
