“I saw a quote, ‘build an empire out of the stones they’ve thrown at you,’ and it started a fire in my stomach. My whole life, everything and anything I’ve ever accomplished was diminished because it was assumed everything was always handed to me. I work my ass off, I love what I do, and there is nothing anyone could ever say to make me question my purpose on this planet. I used to fight really hard and activate for myself, but I’ve learned bullies always have something to say and a keyboard to hide behind, so now I simply don’t give a ______!” ~ Allie Colleen

“Allie brought in the idea for ‘Stones’ and immediately we were all on board. The song just sorta took its own course and before long we had a great groove with attitude and grit. The message we want the listener to take from ‘Stones’ is that there are always going to be people in this world that throw stones and try to keep you down. We have two choices. We can let it control us, or use it to grow and make us stronger!” ~ De’Leah Shane, “Stones” Co-Writer

“All that weight in your pockets

Don’t you ever get tired

It must be so exhausting

Spending all your time

Maybe need a little more sugar

In that cup of mean

You can be bitter if you want to

I’m just doing me

All those stones you’ve been throwing

Ain’t bringing me down

Hell, I know where I’m going

Can’t stop me now

Ain’t losing sleep over you, I look good in black and blue

Tear me down, build me up

Ask me if I give a _____

Funny how a little bit of friction

Can light a fire in me

In spite of what you intended

I’ve got you to thank”

The new single is directed toward those who try to tear others down with insults, bullying, intimidation or anything that implies throwing rocks or stones. The message that any of those actions can have the opposite effect and make an individual stronger, creating a determination to prove those who throw stones wrong.
