Described as “one of the most exciting acts in and around the UK Country scene at this moment in time” by Celeb Mix, London based duo O&O’s new single ‘When It Comes To Love’ due for release on August 7th is a quirky, catchy jam to round out the summer.
With over 50K streams to date, multiple features on Apple Music’s official Today Country playlist and a collaboration with UK Country powerhouse Laura Oakes under their belts, O&O continue to release new music despite the challenges currently faced by the music industry. Favorites of Country Hits DJs Matt Spracklen and Baylen Leonard, the pair top off summer 2020 with an eccentric anthem, once again pushing the limits of their unique sound with this radio gem. ‘When It Comes To Love’ sees O&O exchanging fiery lyrics – “He thinks he knows everything / She let’s me know when I don’t” – over a percussive backdrop layered with outrageous guitars, organ and castanets (pre-save link here).
To accompany the new release, O&O have crafted a DIY music video in their London bedroom during the COVID-19 lockdown, shot entirely on iPhone. “Every single in this latest series has, so far, had a visual component,” say O&O. “We didn’t want lockdown restrictions to stop us from creating a great video, so we used what we had to bring the artwork to life in a video designed for the rabbit hole of Tik Tok. Our goal was to tie the audio and visual together into 3 minutes and 19 seconds of pure fun.”
With well over a million views on their official YouTube channel, the recent launch of a new series featuring collaborations with other emerging artists was given the nod of approval from James Taylor himself, who shared their cover of ‘Sweet Baby James’ (with singer/songwriter Joe Martin) on his social media channels – watch here on YouTube. Following the national COVID-19 lockdown, O&O established a successful, bi-weekly series of ‘Sunday Social’ acoustic live-stream concerts, popular amongst their global following of nearly 14K subscribers. To celebrate the single release, O&O will perform a special YouTube Live Stream Concert on Sunday 9 August 2020 (watch here).
