With her fifth album ” Wonderland” set for release next March, Sarah Darling has given us a taste of what fans can expect by releasing ” Call Me”, the first single from this new project.
Splitting her time between UK and US these days her musical direction is evolving to reflect influences from both sides of the pond. She has been busy collaborating with writers from both countries lately while keeping her country roots at the heart of her music. As Sarah says ” the whole concept of my ” Wonderland” album was to explore a brand new world artistically……..I think it’s good as an artist to stretch boundaries because you are always growing and that’s how you find new magic.”
This shift is definitely evident on ” Call Me” which has much more of an all round catchy pop vibe than we are used to hearing from Sarah, not surprising when production is courtesy of Jim Eliot, who’s credits include working with Ellie Gouding, Kylie Minogue and Christina Perri. But there is still that element of country flavour courtesy of Sarah’s co-writers, Daniel Tashian, Matt Dragstrem and Sarah Buxton who between them have written for Kacey Musgraves, Martina McBride, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban to name just a few……take a listen and let us know your thoughts!
The single is available to download/stream now wherever you usually access your music, and watch out for news of UK tour dates to coincide with the album release in the Spring! Definitely exciting and interesting times ahead for Sarah and all her fans
