LoCash Review

Although this may be LoCash’s fourth studio album they are a relatively new addition to my music collection! The duo, Chris Lucas and Preston Brust caught my attention when they released the feel good track “I Love This Life” in 2015 then fell off the radar a little but now they are back signed to a fresh new label Wheelhouse Records and recently released new album Brothers!

Kicking off the bro country album LoCash prove they are ready to bring the country family together and have one big singalong with One Big Country Song! Carrying on the family feel to the album Brothers the title track from the album definetely sounds like the kind of track Florida Georgia Line would release so it was no surprise to find Tyler Hubbard had a hand in cowriting this one with the duo! Although they are not blood related you can tell this duo have an amazin connection and chemistry just like brothers “I’m like lightning, you’re like thunder! You got one, you get the other! Brothers!”

Taking that family feel vibe straight to a religious one with “God Thing” the duo use this opportunity to give thanks to the life they are living “I just bow my head and pray, pray, pray, pray, pray! Look around and give Him thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks!”

Feels Like A Party the first single taken from this album is probably the most bro-country track of the album which again for me has the Florida Georgia Line feel! It’s a strong song to take as first single from the album but it personally wouldn’t be my first choice!

Now we get to highlight of the album for me my personal favourite and the most personal track on the album Kissing A Girl! The beautifully written ballad tugs on those heartstrings and is a sweet love story filled with hope and emphasises not taking these moments for granted and is enough to make anyone tear up who listens closely to the lyrics of the track.
Ending the album on “Beers To Catch Up On” LoCash get a helping hand of a few friends to help write this track mainly from Rhett Akins, ending on a high note and completing the album! Its the perfect party track to end on and a great way to complete the album!

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
