Today sees Curb Records recording artist Filmore release his latest single “ Good Thing” , the first in a batch of brand songs he’ll be sharing in the coming months and the follow up to his February release “ Nothing Better” which we told you all about at the time ( https://thinkcountrymusic.com/whats-new/press-release-filmores-latest-single-nothings-better-is-out-now/ )
“ Good Thing” sees the Missouri native recalling sweet memories he shared with a former flame, and wondering if she ever looks back at their relationship too and realises how good they had it. Co-written by Filmore alongside Geoff Warburton and Zach Abend, its inspiration comes from real life events in his life, more specifically key moments and experiences since he moved to Nashville. “ The song is looking back at real aspects of my past during my early 20s. It was my first time living in a city by myself and sharing that with another human. All those things are touched on in this song from a very real place” Filmore explains. “ When you look back and reminisce on things, it doesn’t mean it was bad – you can have a good thing back then and not be with that person now. There’s just different chapters of life, and that’s what ‘Good Thing’ is for me”.
