CMA Awards 2015 Performers & Gossip

CMA-Awards-2015
We’re only days away from the 49th Annual Country Music Association Awards, and some of you may be wondering what to expect from the 3-hour show. For starters, it’s due to air from 8pm until 11pm ET (that’s 1am until 4am GMT) on Wednesday, November 4 on the ABC network (live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville).

Hosted for the eighth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the pair are also scheduled to perform alongside the vast majority of the nominees. Carrie has hinted that there will be plenty of costume changes for her during the show, and that she’s looking at a lot of brightly coloured dresses to guide her through the red carpet and 3 hours of showtime.

We can expect an in memoriam tribute to those who have left us this past year (likely midway through the show), including Little Jimmy Dickens, Jim Ed Brown, Lynn Anderson and Bobby Emmons.

As for the monologue, both Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton have made reference to it including the big divorce story – not only Blake and Miranda’s, but Reba and Narvel Blackstock’s, Jake Owen and ex-wife Lacey’s, and more. There’s also the Ashley Madison hack which is reportedly going to get some attention, and they’re bound to focus on the 2016 election race, particularly the run of Donald Trump for Republican candidate. And although Taylor Swift went pop in 2014, things got even crazier following last year’s award show, so you can expect the global pop superstar to remain on the agenda.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
