With more new music on the horizon, Big Loud Records artist Chris Lane has given us a taste of what lies ahead with his new single “Fill Them Boots” , a “ nice-guy-finish-first “ anthem which is hitting US country airwaves immediately. Following on from three No.1 hits, the most recent being the Platinum-Certified “ Big, Big Plans” which was inspired by his wife Lauren, this newest release was penned by Lane with Josh Miller, Ernest Keith Smith and Mark Trussell and produced by ACM Producer of the Year Joey Moi.
Speaking about the track, Lane says “ I wrote ‘Fill Them Boots’ with three of my favourite songwriters in town. I had the idea for a long time, and I’m incredibly proud of the way it turned out. It makes me think of how my wife and I first met , so I hope it’s a song people can easily release to as well. I can’t wait to play it live and hear y’all sing it!”. And with plans afoot for him to hit the road with his high-energy live show beginning this Summer, before teaming back up with Kane Brown for remaining stops on The Worldwide Beautiful Tour in September, it won’t be too long before he gets to realise those dreams.
The track’s accompanying video, filmed on the white sand beaches of St Petersburg FL and directed by Justin Clough, tells the story of a relationship on the rocks. it follows a young love conflict-of-the-heart to see if the good guy truly get the girl, and finishes off with a shot of a “ Lane’s Lawn Care” tee, a throwback nod to Lane’s own former summer job.
“ To be continued” we are told, too, as I’m sure you noticed at the very end ….. watch this space, no doubt it won’t be long ’til Lane is adding to his growing list of massive hits which have contributed to his impressive 1.2 Billion career on-demand streams. And there’s a different type of addition on the way for Chris and wife Lauren this spring as they prepare to welcome their first child, a baby boy, into their family.
