C2C 2020 Main Stage Introductions: Eric Church

One of the biggest names in country music and regarded as one of the most unforgettable live performers in the entire music industry, the mesmerising, the incredible ultimate entertainer Eric Church returns to the Country to Country stage for his first UK appearance in 4 years since he last headlined the festival in 2016. With 6 ACM Award wins on top of the 3 CMA Awards he has taken home and 9 Grammy nominations across his 6 studio albums that have produced number one songs such as ‘Record Year’, ‘Give Me Back My Hometown’, ‘Talladega’, ‘Drink in My Hand’, ‘Some of It’ and the iconic ‘Springsteen’ it is no surprise that UK fans have been eagerly awaiting what will become his fourth trip to these shores!

His most recent album ‘Desperate Man’ (which you can listen to HERE) was released in October 2018 which he supported with his extensive headlining ‘Double Down Tour’ selling out venues all across North America including becoming the only  artist to ever headline a show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN. If that wasn’t enough of an accolade from his show on May 25th 2019, he also set the record for the highest ever attendance for a show at the largest venue in Music City where he played without an opening act for over 3 hours then followed it up a matter of weeks later with the most incredible performance CMA Fest has ever seen where he stood on stage just him and his guitar blasting through a magical set performing all of hits hits in an acoustic medley.

The most exciting thing about the Chief’s upcoming performance at Country to Country is that the Friday night in London will be his first show of 2020! This week whilst appearing at Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville where he performed brand new song ‘Jenny’, Church announced that he had recently rented a diner in the mountains of North Carolina which he turned into a recording studio where over the space of 28 days he had written and recorded 28 brand new songs so fans at the O2 Arena will be hoping they could potentially be the first people to ever hear some of these songs meaning the hottest ticket in town just gets even hotter!

Eric Church plays the main stage at C2C Country to Country in London, Glasgow and Dublin. You can find all his upcoming tour news and keep up to date with Eric on his website and socials:

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
