He is one of the most sought after names in Nashville right now off the back off 4 consecutive number one songs across his self titled debut record and his 2018 number one sophomore release ‘Ticket to L.A.’ so it is no surprise that fans on this side of the Atlantic have been desperate for the return of Brett Young! The California native who could easily have never seen a full-time career in music until injury prevented any potential dreams as a professional baseball pitcher will return for his third trip to the UK at this years Country to Country Festival following appearances opening for Lady Antebellum along with Kelsea Ballerini in 2017 and an initial C2C appearance the following year.
Although Young appeared at the festival in 2018, he only appeared on the main stage in Glasgow and Dublin, whilst the show in England’s capital only featured a performance on the spotlight stage, so 2020 will give him the well deserved main stage slot at the flagship event in London for the first time. Given the evidence of what we have witnessed during the last 2 years where we have seen him light up the Nissan Stadium in Nashville during CMA Fest, Sunday evening will be one hell of a night with the show we know he will bring for an overdue appearance on the festivals main stage.
The popularity of Young as a performer is evident having already collected an ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year in 2018 and appearing alongside Brooks & Dunn and Boyz II Men on the CMT Crossroads Special in 2019 off the back of collaborating with Kix and Ronnie on ‘Ain’t Nothing About You’ as part of the duo’s ‘Reboot’ recording exploring their back catalogue with some of Nashville’s hottest emerging talent.
Having already toured with the likes of Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett plus will head out with Jason Aldean later this summer it just shows how Brett Young is the perfect guy to get any party started with a growing collection of platinum singles and current single ‘Catch’ likely to join that list as it continues to climb the US charts whilst newly announced duet ‘I Do’ with Norwegian singer Astrid S which you can pre-save HERE will be released just in time for his upcoming trip to Europe.
