C2C 2020 Artist Introductions: Robert Counts

Sony / ATV song writer and Arista Nashville recording Artist Robert Counts is set for his UK debut at this years Country to Country following his first European adventure in Germany joining Sarah Darling and Kenny Foster last year. His self-titled debut EP which was released back in October (which you can listen to HERE) will be a very pleasant recording for fans of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Segar who have been big musical influences to Counts and you definitely hear similarities in his own beautiful gravely voice especially in the incredible ‘Backseat Driver’.

The biochemistry graduate from Lee University in Cleveland, TN who was raised just outside of Nashville in Franklin has already played shows with the likes of The Cadillac Three, Ryan Hurd, Clare Dunn, Granger Smith and LANCO. His first trip to the UK could also present an early opportunity to hear the new music he very recently teased on his Twitter and on listening to his EP we think he is definitely an artist who may be under the radar that could be one of the gems of this years festival and will actually be closing out the entire event in London with his late night set in The Saloon on the Sunday.

Robert Counts heads to Europe in March for C2C Country to Country where he will appear in London at The Saloon in All Bar One on Sunday night plus on the BBC Radio 2 Stage in the Indigo, at the Country Hits Radio Sessions at The Loft and Town Square Stage over the weekend in addition to performing at the festival in Berlin. You can find all his upcoming tour news and keep up to date with Robert on his website and socials:

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
