Ahead of upcoming European appearances at C2C Festival in March, Brett Young duets with rising Norwegian star Astrid S to say “I Do”

Chart-topping artist Brett Young will trade vocals with Norway’s Astrid S on her brand-new track “I Do” out February 28 via Virgin EMI Records / Universal Music Norway and can be pre-saved HERE. Astrid’s first release of 2020, sees the rising star venture into new territory with a Pop duet featuring the US Country star. Of the collaboration Astrid says:

I’ve grown up with Country music – it’s a genre I admire very much and it’s been a big influence and inspiration throughout the years in my songwriting. I’m so happy Brett wanted to do this song with me. Hope you’ll love it as much as I do!

Opening with a simple acoustic guitar and building to an anthemic chorus, “I Do” perfectly pairs Astrid and Young’s contrasting vocals. The track serves as an honest confession of remaining feelings for a former lover, which the Norwegian singer wrote solo of a personal experience. Young adds:

I was so honored to be asked to collaborate on this track with Astrid. When I first heard ‘I Do,’ I instantly connected to the lyrics and storytelling, so jumping onboard and digging into something a little bit different was a no-brainer for me. I can’t wait for the fans to hear this one.

The Country singer/songwriter has released five consecutive US No. 1 singles, a PLATINUM-selling self-titled debut album and topped the Billboard Country Album charts with his latest release TICKET TO L.A. via BMLG Records. He has reached over 3 billion global streams and is currently on the road selling-out stops on his headlining THE CHAPTERS TOUR before hitting the road with Jason Aldean later this summer.

The last two years have seen Astrid go from strength to strength – reaching over one billion streams, releasing two highly anticipated EPs ‘Trust Issues’ and ‘Stripped Down’, completing a sold-out tour across the US and Europe, tours with Years & Years and Zara Larsson, plus becoming the face of Fendi’s F is for Fendi campaign and a performance with Greta Thunberg for a special Fridays for Future event in Stockholm. For 2020 fans have a lot more to look forward to, with Astrid S’ debut album set for release this year.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
