The buzz in downtown Seattle on Saturday  night was extra special with the build up to the Super Bowl the next day, with plenty of chants from the fans of Seahawks throughout the night.  I was super excited to be able to see Kip before he crosses the pond in March for the C2C shows and I can guarantee that the UK fans aren’t going to be disappointed!

The opener, Canaan Smith, not so well known in the UK, has some radio play in the States and will be going on the summer tour around the US with Kip and Dierks Bentley, so he is definitely a name to keep a look out for.  He played for around 45 minutes, moving around the stage, engaging with the crowd and I’m sure he won some new fans.

Kip hit the stage to a barrage of cheers from the capacity crowd.  Opening with Wild Ones,  it was a laid back start to the show, but it soon picked up with Crazy One More Time with Kip interacting with the crowd, singing to the front row and moving around the stage.  His whole show is high energy, and his band are just as entertaining and popular with the crowd as Kip himself.  The crowd sang along to every song and he mixed in a few covers with his own songs which worked really well.

As always the set was over way too soon, so I am looking forward to seeing him again in London, and on a bigger stage, there is no doubt his country boots will fill it well!

 Kip played:

Wild Ones

Crazy One More Time

Two Night Stand

Reckless

Drive Me Crazy

Beer Money

I’m To Blame

Dirt Road

Everything But You

Cigarette

Fly Again

Come & Get It

Back Seat

Pretty Girl

Truck

Faith When You Fall/Freefallin

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
