Ten Minutes with Nate Green

Nate

Introduce yourself

Hey there! I’m Nate Green.

How did you get into country music?

When I was 17 years old, I really wanted to be a singer. So, I moved to Nashville. When I got to town, an agent told me that if I wanted to make it in this town that I needed to write and play guitar, so I learned the guitar and the rest is history!

How would you describe your sound?

Innovative Country is how I would describe my music. I like to experiment with sounds and mix different things together that you may not have heard before.

What is your favourite country music song?

To Listen to (and why)

One of my favorites is “Kiss Me In The Dark” by the Randy Rogers Band. I’ve always loved that song!

To Perform (and why)

Well, besides my own stuff, I like covering Jason Aldean’s songs. All his songs are high energy and vocally challenging for me, which I enjoy.

Who would be your dream collaboration?

One of my dream collaborations would be performing with Keith Urban. I think it would be an incredible experience because he is one of my biggest inspirations.

If we came to a Nate Green gig, what should we expect?

I’m a very high-energy person, so I like to jump around a lot. Also, my show is about as eclectic as my music is, so I like to change things up a lot. A lot of times I do different renditions of my own songs or acoustically perform mash-ups of my current favorite songs.

What’s new with you?

Ready for the New Year! Excited about 2015. I feel it is going to be an awesome one.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
