Ryan Montgomery
By Robin Beers

Living in Gorgeous balmy South Florida, there is always the chance of an evening thunderstorm. Sure enough, right after sound check and  before Ryan Montgomery and his opening act “Juna N Joey” were to take the stage, the skies opened up. So this gave us enough time to grab a quick bite in CityPlace, right near the stage!!

After a slight delay and a little mopping up of the equipment, the opening act began. Juna N Joey, are an amazing duo, young and spunky, and have a great future ahead of them. Thats for another review..

Ryan came on as the headlining act, bringing high energy, getting the crowd excited! Ryan is a hometown boy, born and raised in South Florida, and attending Florida Atlantic University, to finish up his college degree. He knows all about the Florida Lifestyle!!! The rain did not bother Ryan or his amazing band. Floridians just keep on going!

Ryan’s new EP is also a reflection of his living the tailgate life. His self named EP, features his hit “Drop a Tailgate”. He has been singing from the back of his pickup, with the tailgate down, at Country music concerts, and really doing some great self promoting. ( He has been going to Nashville to record, so that’s cool!)

Getting back to the concert, Ryan was great! His EP (which will have an official launch party at the end of the summer) Centers around the Country lifestyle in South Florida. “Drop a Tailgate” is very reflective of hanging out, writing songs, and embracing our extremely hot summers. I think that might have been why his song, “Drink in my Solo Cup” may have been written, of course we always have to stay hydrated here!!

The lyrics to each of his 6 songs are
“Florida Style” writing, meaning that this Florida native, can tell the story of how it is to live country here..He is unique, fun, and engages the crowd.  Now, that is Florida, Country style!!

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
