Marty Brown is at it again! He has just released a new single , titled “Umbrella Lovers”! It dropped to radio outlets on 2/18/19! This song is part of Marty’s upcoming album, “American Highway”, which will be released in the Spring 2019.
Marty grew up in rural Kentucky amongst the tobacco fields of the South. Marty worked the fields in his youth as a tobacco cutter, and bagging groceries. He did this during the day, while at night he was performing nights and most weekends. Marty eventually saved up enough money to make his way to Nashville with his car and a guitar, determined to be heard by the music scene. After several attempts with various record labels, Marty scored the all time spot to audition for “America’s Got Talent” in 2013. This led to writing and performing in the Nashville Music scene, where he recently wrote and finished “American Highway”, sending out a strong message that reflects his Kentucky Country roots.
The new single, “Umbrella Lovers”, tells the story of a sweet Love that a couple has for each other, even during rocky times, even during something as simple as a rainstorm.
You can hear this especially in the Bridge of the song, which really is my most favorite part, and Marty’s voice really shines here. There is also some great guitar sounds in this section The lyrics sum up the song with “Girl, i’m gonna love you in the sun and the snow and the rain. I’m gonna love you through the smiles and the hurt and the Pain, Oh Yeah”. I interpret it as meaning, love will prevail, no matter what the conditions are or what life throws your way, good or bad, not matter what happens.
I look forward to hearing the entire album when released, if the rest of it sounds like this first release, and a video for the song is coming out now as well! We can say Marty is back and here to stay!
