Island Hopper Songwriter Fest

The fifth annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest returns Sept. 21-30, 2018, to fill The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel with music and fun at a number of tropical venues.

The festival will take place over 10 days on Southwest Florida’s most beautiful barrier islands. It’s also a chance for fans to hear popular songs they’ve heard on country radio performed by the actual songwriters.

“Island Hopper brings people closer to the music, giving visitors the chance to see and meet top songwriters in some of our destination’s most spectacular island settings,” said Tamara Pigott, executive director of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau.

The festival kicks off on Captiva Island, Sept. 21-23, then moves to historic downtown Fort Myers on Sept. 24-27, and wraps up on Fort Myers Beach, Sept. 28-30. The exciting lineup of festival headliners and songwriters will be announced later this year.

“We’re already hard at work putting together the lineup for our fifth Island Hopper Songwriter Fest and it’s shaping up to be our best year yet,” said Louis Kaplan, iHeartMedia, senior vice president programming. “It’s become one of the best festivals of its type in the country, so it’s exciting to find artists reaching out to participate and guests returning to enjoy the music.”

Island Hopper is presented by Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, iHeartMedia,
Cat Country 107.1 and BMI, the largest music rights organization in the U.S. For more information visit www.IslandHopperFest.com. Follow the festival hashtag #IslandHopperFest on Twitter and other social channels.

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
