Craig Campbell

Craig Campbell was an absolute pleasure and a gentleman to speak with at Chillin’ on the Lucie event.  Sitting on the porch outside of the Green Room, we talked about what was going on for Craig and his tour. His Charity event that takes place in Nashville, during CMA Fest, is the Cornhole Tournament for Colon/Rectal Cancer and it is one of the highlights of the festival. If you get the chance to attend CMA Fest, then try to make this as well, you will not be disappointed!

We spoke about his new EP which dropped in June, and he has been out promoting it. So of course I had to give it a listen….

The EP titled, “See You Try” has that great Country vibe to it, consisting of 7 songs. The title song, “See You Try”, is a reflection of Country guys and how a girl can change them, hence the title “See You Try”, and of course, the girl gets the guy at the end of the song.

My favorite song though  is “Mas Tequila”. It is all about drowning a man’s sorrows in drinking tequila. While it has a very across the border feel there is also a little beachy soul to it. Actually, you can almost picture the mariachis playing their guitars in the background. The music had a real catchy beat to it…..you can catch Craig’s Tour schedule and other information about him and his current and past releases on his website :https://www.craigcampbell.tv/

And of course stream any of his music on all music platforms.. In fact, I’m going to do that now!!

Hi, Im Robin. I have been a music groupie/follower, since the '70s (showing my age). Gr0wing up in Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y. there was not a lot of Country music playing on the airways. I always found a way to seek out the country side of my youth, Marshall Tucker Band, Poco, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash, and my absolute all time favorite, Dwight Yoakam. The list goes on. (of course my disco friends, never knew this,) Moving to Florida in the early 1980's was awesome! There was more than one Country radio station on FM!! I discovered the greats like Tanya Tucker, Sammy Kershaw, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, Randy Travis. Line dancing every weekend, I was in heaven!! There is so much great talent out there now, its exciting and they are extremely innovative with their craft. I look forward to each time a new song and album are released. My son is a bass player and has moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a touring musician, and he is on the road right now. I guess you can say it runs in the family. :) So now I get the chance to visit the home of country music, Nashville!!! I love reaching out to the up and comers here in FLorida, there is so much amazing talent. This is not just a job, but a passion!!! Robin
