Country To Country, the UK and Ireland’s largest country music festival is back in March 2016 and will be headlined by some of America’s biggest stars; Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Dwight Yoakam, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt and Chris Stapleton plus Maddie and Tae, Andrew Combs and Ashley Monroe.
For the first time Country To Country will be held over three consecutive days – Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March, 2016 – in three cities; The O2, London, Glasgow Clyde Auditorium and Dublin 3Arena.
The massively popular satellite stage will also be returning to The O2, London in 2016. Ashley Monroe is the first artist confirmed for the stage, with further acts to be revealed for the other two days in due course. Ashley will be performing on the mainstage in Glasgow and Dublin.
It follows the storming success of C2C 2015 earlier this year when 80,000 country fans packed out The O2, London and 3Arena Dublin for C2C 2015 that saw multimillion selling megastars Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and acclaimed artists Lee Ann Womack, Brantley Gilbert, Brandy Clark and Kip Moore take to the main stage as well as launching the brand new satellite stage which saw performances from UK talent such as The Shires, Ward Thomas and Sam Palladio.
Country To Country is an incredible opportunity for fans to see their idols come together over one weekend, under one roof and is not to be missed. Tickets go on general sale at 10am Friday 9th October from: www.axs.com/c2c 08448 24 48 24 and www.gigsandtours.com / 0844 811 0051. The legendary BBC Radio 2 broadcaster Bob Harris, who will again be compering C2C London says, “I am proud and honoured to be the main stage compere at C2C again this year, and delighted to be at the heart of Radio 2’s coverage of this magnificent event which has done so much to raise the profile of country music in the UK. I’m sure that we’re all going to have a wonderful time – I can’t wait!”
Chris York, C2C Festival promoter for SJM Concerts said “we are delighted to bring Country to Country back to the UK and Ireland bigger and better. More artistes, more cities and more nights to see the best in Country music. Look forward to seeing all of the amazing fans again in 2016. Great to be working with our partners BBC Radio 2 and the Country Music Association to deliver this event once more.”
Sarah Trahern from the CMA said: “C2C continues to be a valued partner in the growth of Country Music in the UK and Europe. The expansion of C2C speaks to the popularity of the music, the artists and the enthusiastic response from our international fans. The inclusion of the CMA Songwriters Series for the third year in a row further demonstrates the UK fans’ appreciation for the Songwriters and their craft which is the foundation of Country Music.”
Little Big Town who were at the London launch, said “We are so excited to be coming back to C2C and performing for our fans in the UK and Ireland. We had the most incredible time playing in 2013 and are honoured to return with such an amazing line up.”
Also at The O2 in London, CMA Songwriters Series will take place on Thursday March 10th, nightly after-show parties featuring special guests, plus over 30 up and coming artists will perform on pop-up stages across the site. With over 40 performances a day on 5 free-to-watch pop up stages plus the Town Square showcasing whole host of food, drink and entertainment stands – C2C truly brings the ‘spirit of Nashville’ over to these shores.
