EP One from the super sassy 19 yr-old Catherine McGrath
Released just before Christmas through Warner Bros. Records, One showcases the stunning vocals and songwriting capabilities of this young artist through 4 acoustic tracks including the 3 original songs ‘Hell Would Have To Freeze Over’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘She’ll Never Love You’, as well as a beautiful version of Jessie Ware’s 2014 hit single ‘Say You Love Me’.
Born in County-Down now living in London, Catherine grew up surround by Irish folk music but found her love in the new era of country music. Drawing influences from the likes Rascal Flatts, Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay and Maddie & Tae as much as pop stars Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, Catherine delivers a contemporary country-pop sound that attracts a youthful audience.
Lead track ‘Hell Would have To Freeze Over’ has featured on 35 Spotify playlists including the New Music Friday Playlist which it was added to for a second time and reached #1 on the Very Nearly Nashville Playlist with Catherine as the cover star.
‘Cinderella’ also debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK Playlist amongst various others while ‘She’ll Never Love You’ was included in the Global New Music Friday list.
Amazon Music Unlimited also included One in their ‘Ones To Watch 2017’.
In February Catherine will be supporting The Saturdays’ Una Healy for two special shows playing at London’s St Pancras Old Church on the 15th before returning to Ireland to play The Sugar Club Dublin on the 16th.
