FRANKIE BALLARD

Frankie Ballard is really making his mark on the Country Music scene in the USA, scoring three consecutive no.1 singles – “Young & Crazy”, the platinum-certified “Sunshine & Whiskey” and “Helluva Life” – all from his most recent album Sunshine & Whiskey. A self-taught guitar ace, Ballard’s unique blend of blues-infused, country rock is evident throughout the album which debuted Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.

Just out of the studio with the new single, “It All Started With a Beer”, Rolling Stone hailed him as “required listening.” Playing over 400 shows across North America in the past two years, the “headliner in the making”’ has opened arenas for Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line and the legendary Bob Seger.

OLD DOMINION

Tipped by Billboard, Rolling Stone and Huffington Post as a 2015 band to watch, Old Dominion brings their spirited take on modern country to their RCA Nashville debut, Meat and Candy. The songs sparkle with clever lyrics, innovative instrumentation, genre-busting arrangements and finger-popping melodies. Even the album’s title alludes to the set’s versatility. “When we first sat down to pick songs for the album, we had a lot of sing-a-long, fun, ‘candy’ songs,” says lead singer Matthew Ramsey. “We decided we needed to show our more serious side a little too. We needed ‘meat’ songs. We needed meat AND candy. ” Old Dominion are a must-see, high energy band in concert and played over 170 shows in 2015 and already have about 140 planned for 2016.

A THOUSAND HORSES

A Thousand Horses are a refreshing fresh fusion of classic sounds – a hybrid of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, Black Crowes and Exile on Main Street-era Rolling Stones – all wrapped up in a modern-country context. Their first album from Republic Nashville is called Southernality, which contains the first single “Smoke” which went to #1 in the US on Billboard Country Airplay Charts and their new single “The First Time” has started to make waves in the UK having been added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist.

Rolling Stone Country hailed the foursome as the Best Up-and-Comer at 2014’s Austin City Limits and USA Today named them one of 2015’s Artists to Watch. They have been touring the US with Darius Rucker and they were recently nominated for a CMT Music Award for “Group Video of the Year” for their hit single “Smoke.”

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
